Woodland Park-based software developer, Tribal Voice Inc., forged a licensing agreement with AT&T. As part of the deal, AT&T will use Tribal Voice’s PowWow software as a feature in its new WorldNet service. For Tribal Voice, the deal brings the first major source of revenue and an added credibility. Scott’s Valley Calif.-based Tribal Voice, founded in Woodland Park in 1994, employs 25 people at its local software development operation.
PowWow software allows Internet users to set up their own communities for chatting with other users, playing games online or visiting Web sites together. The software already has about 3 million users.
