The Colorado Tourism Office announced advertising sales for both the 2001 Official State Vacation Guide (OSVG) and colorado.com Web site have surpassed their 2000 sales. As of Dec. 1, 2000, the OSVG exceeded its budgeted goals and the Web site is expected to exceed its goals as well. Display advertising sales for the 2001 OSVG increased 22 percent and exceeded budgeted goals by 10 percent. The 2001 OSVG listing and calendar sales increased by approximately 10 percent, and are expected to surpass the goal budgeted despite the free listings that were recently implemented. Colorado.com 2001 sales are up by more than 50 percent from last year even though major sales efforts haven’t yet begun.
