A 20-year business veteran with tourism development, real estate marketing and legislative affairs expertise is the new Manitou Springs Economic Development Council director.
Kitty Clemens most recently was associate director of the Historic Arkansas Riverwalk in Pueblo. She also served as executive director of the Manitou Springs-based Pikes Peak Country Attractions Association.
“We are thrilled to have Kitty Clemens on board with the economic development effort for Manitou Springs,” said EDC vice chair Rick Barry. “The community overwhelmingly supports this new position… Kitty has the skills we need as a startup organization.”
Her responsibilities include working with the city on downtown redevelopment, parking concerns, and trails and open space issues. Temporary office space is in the Eagle Motel.
