Colorado Springs Utilities Co-Sponsors Diversity Fair
Colorado Springs Utilities, the City of Colorado Springs, Memorial Hospital and the National Association of Purchasing Management are co-sponsoring a supplier diversity fair to help small businesses understand the purchasing needs and requirement of the three local entities. The fair is February 26th from 7 a.m. to noon at the Doubletree World Arena Hotel.
Professionals from each entity will be on hand to answer questions and provide resources. Attendance is free, but advanced registration is requested. To register, call 668-3862 or complete a form online at www.csu.org/business/sourcing.
The Pikes Peak Advertising Federation will celebrate the best and brightest of creative, right-brained thinkers at the 37th annual ADDY Awards banquet on February 28th at the Wyndham Colorado Springs Hotel, 5580 Tech Center Drive.
The banquet is open to the public and provides an entertaining look at local winners who were selected by three industry judges from similar markets.
Review of the entries and cash bar begin at 6 p.m. Dinner and presentation of the winners begins at 7 p.m. Cost for the black-tie-optional event is $75 per person, and cost for a table of 10 is $650. To make reservations, call the Pikes Peak Advertising Federation at 487-8512.
Project Management Seminar
The Colorado Springs Customer Service Association will be hosting Dr. Daniel Price, PMP at its February 26th membership meeting at the Doubletree World Arena from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
The seminar will cover the basics of project management, what a project is and isn’t, special techniques for project success and how customer service is connected with project management.
