Celtic fingerstyle guitarist headlines concert

The Tri-lakes Center for the Arts and The Wine Seller Concert Series are presenting Jerry Barlow on June 19 at the center.

Barlow’s Irish, Scottish and Appalachian music on fingerstyle guitar creates a listening experience that soothes the soul, warms the heart and lifts the spirit. Tickets are $10 for members and $12 for non-members, and are available at The Wine Seller, The SpeedTrap and TLCA.

Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30.

Edward Jones offering workshop about investing

Rick Tucker of Edward Jones is hosting a free workshop about investing in an election year at 9:30 a.m. June 8 at 1130 N. Circle Drive, Suite 206 in the American National Bank Building.

The one-hour televised program will include information about the upcoming presidential election and its impact on the economy, why companies are paying dividends and industries that are likely to prosper regardless of election results.

RE/MAX Properties hosting homebuyer’s road show

RE/MAX Properties Inc. is offering first-time homebuyers an opportunity to visit home builders who are developing products and programs just for them.

The First-Time Homebuyer’s Road Show features a free guided tour of new homes in the $130,000 to $170,000 price range. Participants will learn about financing programs, the home buying process, local new home inventory and builder incentives.

The first road show will visit builders in the Powers area from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 5. The second tour will be June 12. Seating is limited.
