ABC grand opening celebration postponed

The American Bank of Commerce (ABC Bank) has postponed its grand opening celebration until June 18. The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Colorado Springs Banking Center, 434 S. Tejon.

ABC Bank was established in 1962 and has assets of more than $421.7 million. The Colorado Springs Banking Center was opened in March and other Colorado Banking Centers are set to open soon.

PPCC, NDEITA offering biomechanics workshops

Pikes Peak Community College and the National Dance Exercise Instructors’ Training Association are cosponsoring two workshops, Biomechanics I and Biomechanics II next month at PPCC, Aspen Building, 5675 S. Academy Blvd.

Biomechanics I, which will include information about anatomy, kinesiology, the biomechanics of the human body, coaching shills, exercise techniques, precautions and modifications, and how to apply these to common exercises for the chest, upper back and arms, will begin at 8 a.m. July 10.

Biomechanics II, which will review anatomy, kinesiology and biomechanics for the core, shoulder and lower body musculature, also will include coaching skills, exercise techniques, precautions and modifications. The class begins at 8 a.m. July 11.

Silver Key golf tourney gets new location

The Silver Key golf tournament is moving this year to the Country Club of Colorado. The event begins at 1 p.m. Aug. 30 with a shotgun start.

There will be hole-in-one prizes, a silent auction, a mariachi band for the themed Mexican dinner “Fiesta,” and a shootout at the end of the tournament.

Silver Key was started in 1971 and is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping the elderly.
