Airport parking contract has been awarded to Ampco

Ampco System Parking has been awarded a multi-year, multi-million dollar contract with Colorado Springs Airport. Ampco, a wholly-owned subsidiary of ABM Industries Inc., will provide parking management, shuttle services and valet parking for the 8,975-car parking facility at 7770 Drennan Road.

“With our extensive expertise in airport parking management, we welcome the opportunity to serve the Colorado Springs Airport,” said Thomas Barnett, president of Ampco System Parking. “Our utilization of state-of-the-art technology allows us to develop parking management programs that can enhance the experiences for the airport’s two million passengers each year.”

Colorado Springs Airport’s primary goal is to enhance its role as a national transportation gateway to the Pikes Peak Region and the State of Colorado. The airport, which is owned and operated by the City of Colorado Springs, opened in October 1994 and owns 7,135 acres with multiple sites available for lease and development.

“We are pleased with the selection of Ampco System Parking as the new management team for the Colorado Springs Airport,” said Mark Earle, aviation director for the Colorado Springs Airport. “We are confident that Ampco will work with us to ensure that our customers receive the best value and the highest possible level of customer service,” he added.

Ampco System Parking is an industry leader, operating more than 1,700 lots and garages in 30 states, including parking facilities at or adjacent to such major international airports as Buffalo, Cincinnati, Denver, Honolulu, Houston, Los Angeles, Orlando, Philadelphia and San Francisco.
