Silver Key hosting annual pumpkin-thon

Silver Key Senior Services annual pumpkin-thon is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Oct. 9 at the food court at The Citadel Mall.

Silver Key also will be collecting non-perishable foot items for the elderly at the event.

Business, investing programs available through library

The Pikes Peak Library District is offering the following business-related programs:

Investment Tools at Your Library is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. Sept. 28 at the Penrose Public Library, 20 N. Cascade Ave. Information will include how to research a company and follow a company or mutual fund performance. Sources will include Value Line and Morningstar, subscription databases on the library’s Web site, and other Internet sites.

Minding Your Business is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. Sept. 30 at the Penrose Public Library. Information about business resources available at the library will be included as part of a free tour before the library opens. Registration is not necessary.

Leadership Pikes Peak hosting annual award event

Leadership Pikes Peak is hosting it annual awards event from 5:30 to 10 p.m. Oct. 16 at the Colorado Springs City Auditorium.

The cost is $60 for members and $70 for non-members. Reservations can be made by calling Linda Hubbell at 632-2618, by e-mail at lpp@leadershippikespeak.org or by fax at 632-5391.

More than 900 people have graduated from Leadership Pikes Peak programs since 1980.

AFP presenting marketing planned gifts lecture

The Southern Colorado Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals is hosting a lecture about marketing planned gifts from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Oct. 19 at the Junior Achievement Training Room, One Education Way.
