Department of Revenue offering tax seminar for CPAs
The Colorado Department of revenue is offering a free income tax seminar for CPAs, enrolled agents and tax practitioners at 9 a.m. Nov. 8 at 310 Abriendo Ave., Pueblo.
The class is tailored to the needs of accountants and tax practitioners and includes updated income tax information concerning Colorado tax law, policies and processes plus a questions/answer period.

Pikes Peak Community College hosting folk art exhibit
The Pikes Peak Community college Downtown Studio Campus is hosting an opening reception from 5 to 7:30 p.m. for Artistas Hispanos de Colorado – Imageneres y Cultura, a Hispanic Art Exhibit. Musical entertainment will be provided by Michelle Lobato and Martin Cruz performing a mixture of traditional and contemporary Latin music.
Hispanic folk art is a tradition and part of the fabric of life that is native to Colorado. In this exhibit, Hispanic artists blend the traditions of the past with their present day culture.
Artists whose works are featured in the exhibit are Carolos Fresquez, Lynn Fresquez, Vicente Ortega, Gene Sanchez, George Sanchez, Pearl Sanchez and Danny Vigil.
The exhibit will be on display through Dec. 16.

CITTI hosting Colorado Springs Innovation Summit
The Colorado Springs Innovation Summit is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Nov. 12 at the Penrose House Conference Center, 1661 Mesa Ave.
The summit will discuss key issues associated with innovation processes and highlight examples of innovations in the greater Colorado Springs area, convening the driving elements of innovation in business, education and military.
