Office of International Affairs hosting export discussions
The Colorado Springs Office of International Affairs is hosting a series of monthly discussion and presentations about managing export businesses. The meetings are designed to provide a forum focusing on the opportunities and challenges faced in the world arena.
Industry experts and partnering institutions will discuss relevant issues in the international marketplace.
The first meeting is scheduled for 8 to 9 a.m. Jan. 12 at the Chamber of Commerce conference room, 2 N. Cascade. The topic will be the changes to the Shipper’s Export Declaration rules and what AES filing means for businesses.
Women’s groups hosting tea, dessert social
The Colorado Women’s Bar Association, Society of Women Engineers and American Association of University Women have scheduled a Tea and Dessert Social for 1 p.m. Jan. 22 at Gaylord Hall on the first floor of Worner Campus Center at Colorado College, 902 N. Cascade Ave.
The cost is $3 per person. To make reservations, call Connie King at 633-4421 before Jan. 19.
Fort Carson Restoration Advisory Board holding meeting
Fort Carson is inviting the public to learn about environmental restoration projects on post at its quarterly Restoration advisory Board meeting which is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Feb. 10 at the Elkhorn Catering and Conference Center, Building 7300, off Woodfill Road.
