Summer youth job fair slated for March
The Pikes Peak Workforce Center, El Paso County Department of Human Services’ Teen Self Sufficiency Program and Goodwill Industries are hosting a Summer Youth Job Fair from noon to 4 p.m. March 16 at the Sheraton Hotel, 2886 S. Circle Drive.
Young people between the ages of 14 and 21 who are looking for full-time, part-time or volunteer work are encouraged to attend.

NRA hosting crime prevention seminar
The National Rifle Association’s Refuse to be a Victim program will conduct a crime prevention seminar beginning at 9 a.m. March 5 at the Traditional Karate Center, 5247 Galley Road.
The seminar will last between three and four hours and is free and open to the public. Registration is required by contacting Lori Carnes at email@example.com or 444-7276, or by calling Traditional Karate Center at 574-5088.
The seminar teaches methods to avoid dangerous situations and to prevent criminal confrontations.
Youth Symphony Association hosting winter concert
The Colorado Springs Youth Symphony Association will present two band ensembles during its winter concert at 2 p.m. Feb. 13 at the Benet Hill Center, 2555 N. Chelton Road.
The concert features the Pikes Peak Concert Band, conducted by Rick Shaw; and the Pikes Peak Wind Ensemble, conducted by Richard Kusk.
Tickets, which are $7 general admission, $5 senior citizens and students, are available at the association office or at the door. For more information, call 633-3901.

Diamonds & Spurs gala to benefit CARE Fair
The Junior League of Colorado Springs is hosting Diamonds & Spurs, a Western-theme gala to benefit CARE Fair from 7 to 11 p.m. March 12 at Ghost Town Wild West Museum.
CARE Fair, a program that provides free immunizations, physicals, dental exams, hearing and eye exams, and haircuts to underprivileged children, was founded by the Junior League in 2003.
Tickets are $65 before Feb 25 and $75 thereafter. The dress code is upscale Western or cocktail attire. For more information, call the Junior League office at 632-3855.
