NRA hosting crime prevention seminar

The National Rifle Association’s Refuse to be a Victim program will conduct a crime prevention seminar beginning at 9 a.m. March 5 at the Traditional Karate Center, 5247 Galley Road.

The seminar will last between three and four hours and is free and open to the public. Registration is required by contacting Lori Carnes at rtbav5650@aol.com or 444-7276, or by calling Traditional Karate Center at 574-5088.

The seminar teaches methods to avoid dangerous situations and to prevent criminal confrontations.

Summer youth job fair slated for March

The Pikes Peak Workforce Center, El Paso County Department of Human Services’ Teen Self Sufficiency Program and Goodwill Industries are hosting a Summer Youth Job Fair from noon to 4 p.m. March 16 at the Sheraton Hotel, 2886 S. Circle Drive.

Young people between the ages of 14 and 21 who are looking for full-time, part-time or volunteer work are encouraged to attend.
