Tri-Lakes Women’s Club hosting antiques show, sale
The Tri-Lakes Women’s Club is hosting the 29th Annual Pine Forest Antiques Show and Sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 16 and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 17 at Lewis-Palmer High School, 1300 Higby Road, Monument.
Antiques from more than 60 dealers will be featured, along with a homemade bake sale. Over the last 29 years, the club has donated more than $415,000 to District 38 schools, fire and police departments, senior citizen groups and other nonprofit organizations.

Revenue Dept., IRS offering wage withholding class
The Colorado Department of Revenue, in conjunction with the IRS, is offering a free training seminar on wage withholding from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 18 at 1881 Pierce St., Room 110, Lakewood.
Information will be available about federal and state withholding regulations, forms instructions, Department of Labor requirements and unemployment insurance issues.

AFA’s fifth chamber recital slated for March 29
The United States Air Force Academy Band’s fifth concert in this season’s Chamber Recital Series is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. March 29 at Packard Hall, Colorado College, corner of Cache La Poudre and Cascade.
The concert will feature Master Sgt. Mike Woods, percussion, and Tech. Sgt. Heike Gazetti, clarinet.
The concert is free and open to the public, and tickets are not required.

Summer youth job fair slated for March
The Pikes Peak Workforce Center, El Paso County Department of Human Services’ Teen Self Sufficiency Program and Goodwill Industries are hosting a Summer Youth Job Fair from noon to 4 p.m. March 16 at the Sheraton Hotel, 2886 S. Circle Drive.
Young people between the ages of 14 and 21 who are looking for full-time, part-time or volunteer work are encouraged to attend.

2005 Arkansas River Basin Water Forum to be held in Trinidad
“Cool, Clear Water,” a song made famous by the Sons of the Pioneers, is the theme of the 11th Annual Arkansas River Basin Water Forum (ARBWF) being held April 7-8 at the Quality Inn in Trinidad.
Topics for the Forum include Coal Bed Methane Drilling and its Impacts, Ground Water Wells, Community Collaborative Rain and Hail Study (CoCoRaHS), Water For Wildlife, Water Conservation, Municipal Conservation, In Stream Flows, Good Samaritan Law, Salinity and Selenium, and Water System Planning.
In addition to the main sessions, the planning committee is organizing tours of the Trinidad Lake Dam, the Baca House Museum, and the Mitchell Memorial Museum and Gallery.
The registration fee prior to March 25 is $45 for both days, $30 for one day and $20 for student registration. After March 25, the two-day fee will be $55. The one day and student registration fees will remain the same. A limited number of scholarships will be available.
