Alex Brown has joined Colorado Publishing Co. as a graphic designer. He previously worked for Consolidated Press in Seattle.

Ann Marie Trahan has joined Colorado Publishing Co. as a receptionist. She has 11 years of experience, most recently with Interoffice in Washington, D.C.

Tabitha Kidd has joined Colorado Springs Military Newspapers as an advertising account representative. She has five years of experience, most recently with Fayetteville Publishing Co.

Joseph A. Garcia, president of Pikes Peak Community College, has been named President of the Year by the State Student Advisory Council. He also has been named chairman pro tem of the Board of Directors of the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority.

Jamaica Aderholt has been promoted to account executive at 101.9 KKCS. She previously was a member of the traffic and billing department.

Erica Laurich has been hired as an account executive by 101.9 KKCS. She is a veteran of the sales industry and a 21-year Colorado Springs resident.

Carlos Martinez has been promoted to operations assistant of the Pueblo Convention Center. He has been with Global Spectrum, the center’s facility management company, for five years.

Samuel Griego has been promoted to operations assistant of the Pueblo Convention Center. He has been with Global Spectrum, the center’s facility management company, for three years.

Marina De Jesus has been appointed director of human resources at Cheyenne Mountain Resort. She previously served as corporate director of human resources for the Hotel Valencia Corp. in San Antonio, Texas.

Ron Mast of Morning Star Real Estate has been named “Realtor of the Year for 2004″ by the Housing and Building Association of Colorado Springs. He is now a triple “MAME” award winner, including the 2003 “Realtor of the Year.”

Jeff Jensen has earned the Certified Invest Management Analyst designation through the Investment Management Consultants Association. He is first vice president-investments of Smith Barney.

Rob Larimer has joined the Colorado Springs Business Journal as a staff reporter. He previously worked for a community newspaper serving northern metro Denver as well as having worked in Colorado Springs.

Earl E. Grant has joined First Community Mortgage as a mortgage loan officer. He has more than 30 years of experience, most recently as president and CEO of Grant Mortgage.

Eric S. Howard has joined Hogan & Hartson LLP as a member of the litigation group. He previously was an associate with an international firm.

Bonnie Weida has joined Rusinak Real Estate in the relocations services division. She is working at the 7150 N. Academy Blvd. office.
