Women’s chamber hosting COSMIX discussion
The Southern Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce is hosting a discussion about the Colorado Springs Metro- politan Interstate Expansion project (COSMIX) at its monthly luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 21 at the Antlers Hilton.
Robert Burch, who has worked for the state Department of Transportation for 22 years, will be the featured speaker. He is the resident engineer for COSMIX and is responsible for project quality and design/construction oversight.
The cost of the luncheon is $20 for members, $25 for guests and $25 at the door. Call 442-2007 for reservations.
State offering class for printing industry
The Colorado Department of Revenue is sponsoring a free tax seminar for the printing industry from 9 a.m. to noon July 1 at 1881 Pierce St., room 110, Lakewood.
The seminar will provide an overview of sales and use tax for printers, mailers, advertising agencies, finishers, and print prep companies.

PR society hosting program for fundraisers
The Pikes Peak Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America is hosting a luncheon program for professional fundraisers from l1:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 22 in the School District 11 boardroom, 1115 N. El Paso St.
The presentation will focus on developing communication messages and plans that affect fundraising efforts and the ability to raise project funds. Steve Elder, vice president of advancement for Colorado College, will be the featured speaker.

GoG Foundation hosting art show, benefit
The Garden of the Gods Foundation is hosting an art show and benefit from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 25 at the Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center, 1805 N. 30th St.
Thirty local artists are displaying and selling their artwork at the event, which celebrates the 10th anniversary of the center. Fifty percent of all sales will go to the park.
Junior League seeking new members
The Junior League of Colorado Springs is hosting a membership information meeting from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. June 29 at the group’s office, 2914 Beacon St.
The organization is seeking women who demonstrate an interest in volunteerism.
