Mike Anderson has been appointed assistant city manager of Colorado Springs. He has been the manager of the city’s Budget Office since January of 2002. Prior to joining the City of Colorado Springs in 1984, he served as regional economist/demographer for the Pikes Peak Area Council of Governments.
William J. Hybl has received an honorary doctorate of humane letters from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. He is chairman and CEO of El Pomar Foundation and led efforts for the foundation to pledge $4 million for El Pomar Center at UCCS as well as $1.15 million to help the university acquire a building for the Beth-El College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
