Katie Carrol has been named director of marketing and communications at the Better Business Bureau of Southern Colorado. She joined the BBB in May and was previously director of communications.

Carola McCowan has joined ERA Shields Real Estate as an agent in the Broadmoor office. She has worked in the medical field.

Jeff Mason has joined ERA Shields Real Estate as a broker associate in the Broadmoor office. He previously worked in the contract furniture industry.

Stephen Knaup has joined ERA Shields Real Estate as an agent in the North office. He previously worked as a securities accountant and an IT operations director, and has been in the real estate field for more than five years.

Blair Reeves has been named director of events at the Better Business Bureau of Southern Colorado. She joined the BBB in 2004 as executive assistant to the organization’s CEO.

Joe Tomaselli has joined Zakco Commercial Consultants Inc. as vice president of marketing. He was previously the project manager of unit development for Wendy’s and Great Western Restaurants.

Tammy Fernandez has been promoted to associate campus director for southern Colorado at the University of Phoenix. She has worked for the university since 1998, serving as a corporate liaison, director of enrollment and most recently as director of enrollment and marketing for the central region.

Pamela Gomez-Gil has joined Girl Scouts-Wagon Wheel Council as a membership and marketing specialist. She has 21 years of experience as an administrator in high technology, most recently as director of process control at Hewlett Packard.

Maritza V. Larsen has joined Girl Scouts-Wagon Wheel Council as a membership and marketing specialist. She previously was a technical writer for Sprint.

Halimah Celestine has joined Girl Scouts-Wagon Wheel Council as director of communications. She previously worked in research with the College of Education at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.

Butch Gunn has joined ERA Shields Real Estate as a broker associate in the North office. He has spent the last 14 years as a Colorado Springs firefighter and will continue to serve as a driver/engineer.
