Income tax for CPAs, agents, practitioners

The Colorado Department of Revenue is offering a free update seminar for certified public accountants, enrolled agents and tax practitioners from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Nov. 22, 29 and 30 at 1881 Pierce St., Room 110, Lakewood; and Nov. 21 at 4420 Austin Bluffs Parkway, Colorado Springs.

The seminar provides income tax information about new state tax laws, what to expect on the 2005 income tax forms, policies and processes. The information is tailored specifically to the needs of accountants and tax practitioners and continuing professional education credits are available.

Topics will include legislative updates, delinquency management, document processing and available electronic services

Training materials will be provided, but space is limited.

Colorado sales tax class offered in Springs, Pueblo

The Colorado Department of Revenue is offering a free training seminar about state sales tax issues at 2:30 p.m. Dec. 1 at 4420 Austin Bluffs Parkway in Colorado Springs and Dec. 14 at 310 E. Abriendo in Pueblo.

Participants will learn about sales tax licenses, trade names, how to collect sales tax, distinguishing sales and use tax and available electronic sources.

Training materials are provided and the seminar is free of charge. No registration is required for the Colorado Springs seminar. Register for the Pueblo seminar by calling 542-2920.
