As capital campaign director for the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, Jessica Turnwald’s job is to see that the center reaches its goal of raising $43 million for a proposed building renovation and expansion project.
Before coming to work for the Fine Arts Center, Turnwald worked at the U.S. Golf Association helping develop a number of national programs.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and landscape architecture from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
Her business accomplishments include selection as a fellowship and grants coordinator and a foundation coordinator of the U.S. Golf Assoc-iation.
She became a provisional member of the Colorado Springs Junior League in 2005.
Katherine Loo, co-chairwoman of the Fine Arts Center Capital Campaign, said she nominated Turnwald as a Rising Star because of her motivation and talent.
“She has knowledge and expertise of the field of fund raising that goes well beyond her years,” Loo said. “She is thorough and pays attention to detail while seeing and communicating the big picture. She is resilient and does not let setbacks stand in her way.”
