The workshops are from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and will include information about the rewards of starting a small business, the attributes of a successful entrepreneur, business planning (including how to determine your cash requirements), and the legal form of your business entity.
Attendees will be provided with perspective about the risks and types of activity involved with owning a small business, the initial planning that should be done by anyone considering starting a small business and issues to consider before launching a business.

The Better Business Bureau of Southern Colorado is hosting a series of seminars to help businesses improve their communication skills. Called “Sweet Talk,” the series will feature communication experts who will share techniques and information about enhancing the communication process.
The seminars are from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. in the adult reading room of the Penrose Library, 20 N. Cascade Ave. The cost is $15 for BBB members and $20 for non-members if paid in advance, and $25 for members and $30 for non-members if paid at the door.
