The Gables boasts a no-water park (access required)

The lawn is spongy-soft and stays green all year. And, best of all, the synthetic grass, mulch and other xeriscaping materials at The Gables park and playground require no watering. But the idea for the “green” park was born of necessity rather than strictly environmental consciousness.
