Lockheed Martin-Integrated Systems and Solutions of Colorado Springs has been awarded a contract installment of $25.5 million based on a longer-range 15-year contract valued up to $2.5 billion.
Each year, up to $110 million is allocated toward the total contract, according to Peterson Air Force Base purchasing officials.
The defense contractor is responsible for providing mission critical operations, maintenance, and support as well as updated control systems for the North American Aerospace Defense Command and the United States Strategic Command.
USSTRATCOM is tasked with providing global warning of ballistic missile attacks and communications required for military initiatives and command worldwide.
The company was also awarded another $7.6 million in support of the mission critical operations, maintenance and support for Warren Air Force Base system integration, engineering support, logistics/warehouse support as well as funding to study enhancements to the Air Force’s Missile Warning and Defense network server.
