The University of Colorado’s Presidential Search Committee wants to know what Colorado Springs residents think CU’s next president should be like.

The committee will hold a meeting to solicit comment at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 20 at the Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce office, 2 N. Cascade Ave., suite 110.

CU Regent Steve Bosley, who chairs the committee, will lead the meeting, along with Regent Kyle Hybl, who represents the 5th Congressional District.

There will be a brief presentation on the search progress and context, followed by public comments and questions.

“As we look for the next leader of the CU system, it is important that we get insight and perspective from a variety of people around the state,” Bosley said.

CU’s next president will replace Hank Brown, who announced in January that he will step down from the post in spring 2008.The president is the chief executive officer of the college system, which has campuses in Colorado Springs, Boulder, Denver and the Anschutz Medical Campus.
