Denver Public Schools board has given the given the green light for creation of the city’s first charter high school that will focus on business education, according to a story from the Denver Business Journal.
The board approved the charter application of Denver Venture School. Classes are scheduled to start next fall.
The school will have a project-based curriculum and use typical business and financial problems to teach science, math and other subjects.
Juniors and seniors will spend part of their school day operating a business that they’d planned and launched.
