The Colorado Hotel and Lodging Association is reporting that year-to-date 66.4 percent of Colorado hotel rooms have been occupied, compared to 64.6 percent a year ago.

The statewide average daily room rate during October was $115.93, compared to $105.72 one year ago.

Colorado Springs’ average daily room rate for October hit $86.68, down from August’s high of $95.75, according to Experience Colorado Springs at Pikes Peak Marketing Director, Amy Long.

The rates do not include The Broadmoor hotel or the Cheyenne Mountain Resort and Conference Center, both of which are categorized as resorts rather than hotels.
