Nearly two months after opening its first Colorado Springs location, the Denver-based Spicy Pickle sandwich restaurant chain has opened a second Springs store – and there are apparently more on the way.
The first store opened Sept. 4 at 1466 W. Garden of the Gods Road. The second location opened last week in Briargate at 9275 N. Union Blvd.
Spicy Pickle Franchising CEO Marc Geman said a third location is planned to open within a year, but a suitable locations hasn’t been found.
“Colorado Springs could be a five- or six-store market,” Geman said. “We do our demographics based on certain types data. We look for white-collar managerial areas where there’s lots of traffic, and Colorado Springs looks like that kind of place for us.”
He said more than 50 national franchise agreements have been signed since the company was founded in 1999.
