If there was any doubt about Cyber Monday being all that for online retailers, this year’s sales totals might convince skeptics.
Overall traffic to retail Web sites rose 26 percent this year, according to Shop.org.
Internet analysis company, comScore.com says the one-day sales totals reached $733 million.
CyberMonday.com, a site that compiles Cyber Monday deals, received more than 1.5 million unique visitors, five times more than a year ago.
Retailers that reported some of the biggest Cyber Monday sales increases this year include, BabyAge, which reported a 231 percent increase from last year; Bealls, which reported a 45 percent increase; Diamond.com, which reported a 65 percent increase; Denver-based E-bags, which reported a 70 percent increase and jeweler Ice.com, which reported an 82 percent increase.
