Colorado exports to the Middle East have doubled during the past year, and state officials say the region offers a diverse market for U.S. products.

The Colorado Office of Economic Development and the World Trade Center in Denver are sponsoring a workshop on how to increase exports to the Persian Gulf region.

Nancy Charles Parker is the counselor for commercial affairs in Kuwait and will speak at the workshop, which will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19 at the World Trade Center in Denver.

The cost is $20 for WTC members, $30 for non-members.

Reservations and payment must be received by Monday, Dec. 17.
