Online advertising continues to grow

Wall Street financial giant Lehman Brothers says Internet advertising spending will reach nearly $311 billion next year, up 4 percent from this year.

Also real estate advertising budgets are projected to grow by 12 percent next year and reach $8 billion by 2012.

Authors of the firm’s annual advertising trend report also predict that Internet advertising will account for 8.4 percent of all U.S. advertising spending next year, a jump of 7.1 percent from this year – despite the fact that the Internet accounts for 28 percent of all media consumption.
