A Colorado Springs law firm is working to help high school students produce public service announcements about underage drinking and driving.

McDivitt Law Firm is working with the “My PSA” contest to ask students in grades nine through 12 to produce a 30-second commercial to discuss thoughts about the dangers of underage drinking and driving.

The firm’s also paid to provide free cab rids on New Year’s Eve.

President Michael McDivitt said the number of drunk driving arrests and injuries in El Paso County prompted him to offer the free cab rides and sponsor the PSA.

The winning announcement will be featured both on the McDivitt Law Firm site and on television.

My PSA Contest is an organization that encourages teenagers to use film and television to address major issues. For more information, go to www.mypsacontest.com.
