Colorado Springs Business Journal media partner News Channel 13 reported today that Vic Andrews, vice president and general manager of USAA’s Colorado Springs operation, is retiring.
Andrews has spent 10 years with the financial services provider and 30 years in the U.S. Air Force.
Prior to joining USAA, he served as vice superintendent of the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs.
He will continue to serve in community roles as chairman of the board of the Greater Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce, board member of the Boys and Girls Club of Colorado Springs and board member of the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo.
USAA has appointed Jim Salek, a 30-year veteran of the insurance industry, to replace Andrews. He will relocate to the Colorado Springs area from USAA’s home office in San Antonio, Texas.
USAA opened its Colorado Springs office in 1974 to provide member service for more than half a million USAA members in Colorado, Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming.
