After just three-and-a-half years in existence the 43,000-square-foot Club at Flying Horse topped the Colorado Avid Golfer list as “best clubhouse in the state.”
Colorado Avid Golfer magazine named the Club at Flying Horse the best in the state.
Selection criteria were not provided, but the magazine’s publishers did note that competition for first place was stiff.
“With even older clubs like Lakewood sporting enormous new clubhouses, competition in this category is fierce,” the magazine said. “The Club at Flying Horse’s Tuscan palazzo gets the edge for its dramatic porticos, spacious golf shop, spa-quality locker room, solarium dining area, private balconies, two-story wine turret and candle-lit grotto.”
Annie VonLoh, member services manager for the recreational facility, said the multi-million dollar complex was also recognized for its indoor Learning Center practice facility and outdoor driving range.
To date, Flying Horse has 260 golf members and more than 360 social members.
Only 15 golf memberships remain available to non-Flying Horse residents VonLoh said, adding that 100 memberships remain for those who live on the development’s 1,400-acre property.
