Steve Yamashita has been appointed northeast regional manager for the Colorado Division of Wildlife. He previously was the assistant regional manager in Grand Junction.
Tamie Bulow has been named Best Up-and-Coming Meeting Professional by Colorado Meetings + Events magazine. She is conventions and tours manager for the American Birding Association.
Michael P. Arsenault and Daniel Uyechi have received Milken Educator Awards. Arsenault is a teacher and student council co-adviser at Pine Creek High School. Uyechi is a math specialist at Sierra Middle School.
Jamie S. Dent has joined the Cottonwood Institute as director of marketing and development. He has nearly eight years of nonprofit industry experience.
Susan Foote has obtained an Accredited Staging Professional designation. She is a broker at Rusinak Real Estate.
Lowell E. Heim has earned the Fraternal Insurance Counsellor, Fellow designation. He is a Modern Woodman representative in Colorado Springs.
Carol Sturman has received the J. Cordell Breed Award for Women Leaders from SAE International. She is co-founder and president of Sturman Industries.

Luis Velez has been named vice president of education at Colorado Technical University. He previously served as dean of criminal justice, and was chief of police for Colorado Springs from 2002 to 2006.
Mike Boyd has been named vice president of the Center for Business and Community Partnership at Colorado Technical University. He has 30 years of experience in business development, general management and human resources.
Travis Easton has been named an associate of Norte Associates Inc. He is engineering manager of the company’s Colorado Springs office and has more than 12 years of experience managing development and capital improvement projects.
