Kathie Spurling lives on a ranch in eastern Colorado with horses and cattle and enjoys wakeboarding, water skiing and snowboarding.
As manager of lending at Ent Federal Credit Union, Spurling is charged with increasing Ent’s mortgage portfolio by $200 million annually.
She also oversees the credit union’s mortgage loan officers, specialized real estate lending department and real estate lending administrative staff.
She developed new seminars to support financial education, including a course on mortgages, first-time home buying and construction lending.
She serves on the education committee for the Colorado Mortgage Lenders Association and is a board member of the Credit Union Real Estate Network and the Credit Union Association Mortgage Roundtable.
“Kathie is one of the most dedicated professionals I know,” said Keryn DeRubis, Land America marketing representative. “She works tirelessly to make sure a job is done to perfection. Her thirst for knowledge and continuing industry education is an inspiration.”
She supports Pikes Peak United Way, is a past instructor for Junior Achievement of Southern Colorado and participates in the American Heart Association’s Heart Walk.
Her husband’s name is Kevin, and she has three sons, Matt, 18, and twins Chris and Justin, 17.
