Shannon Roth has a heart for kids, especially teenagers, in the community.
Before becoming a volunteer center director for the Center for Nonprofit Excellence, she worked for Young Life for eight years. She managed up to 70 staff and volunteers to lead eight programs for 6th through 12th grade students.
With a talent for organizing volunteer programs, Roth leads with integrity and dedication. This is evident in her job at the CNE.
The quantity and quality of volunteerism in the Pikes Peak region is growing with Roth’s commitment to train managers in providing a professional volunteer program.
In only 21 days, she recruited and coordinated 1,600 volunteers to help with “Mr. Biggs Saves Christmas” (the former Bob Telmosse toy giveaway). Her organization efforts for Make a Difference Month in 2007 engaged 3,000 volunteers — double the previous year.
Roth is continuing her leadership undertakings as a class member in the Leadership Pikes Peak program this year.
Her husband’s name is Lance and they have two sons, Justin and Kaden.
