Richard Myers has been appointed commissioner for the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement. He is chief of the Colorado Springs Police Department.
Brian Larabee has been named vice president of sales and marketing at Diamond Wire Technology. He previously was the CMP technology strategic marketing and business development director of Rohm and Hass in Phoenix.
Michael D. Nosler has been named general counsel for the Colorado State University System. He previously was managing partner for Rothgerber Johnson and Lyons LLP, specializing in employment law.
Claudette A. Kenmir has been named vice president of Safeco Insurance and mountain regional general manager. She has worked for the company for 20 years, most recently as vice president, west regional executive.
Susan Swanson has joined Safeco Insurance as agency manager representing Colorado, Utah and Wyoming.
Rick Kushner DDS has received the School of Dentistry Outstanding Dental Service Award from the Marquette University Alumni Association. He is president and founder of Comfort Dental.
Gary Markle has joined the Colorado Springs Regional Economic Development Corp. as vice president of local industry. He was the founding president and CEO of the Colorado Springs Technology Incubator and continues to serve as its executive chairman.
Chih Ted Yang has received the Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Water, Surface Water Branch: Sedimentation Control in Surface Water Systems. He is a civil engineering professor at Colorado State University.
Randy Haffner has been named president and CEO of Porter Adventist Hospital, and president of the South Denver Hospital Group, which includes Littleton Adventist Hospital, Parker Adventist Hospital and PAH. He previously was administrator of the Orlando campus for Florida Hospital.
John Collar has been named executive director of the Colorado BioScience Association. He is currently chief operating officer of Matrilinex, a start up mitochondrial DNA testing lab company.
Cory D. Shultz has joined Air Academy Federal Credit Union as vice president of business services. He has nearly nine years of experience in the financial services industry as a personal banker, sales and service manager and branch manager for U.S. Bank in Colorado Springs.
