Peak Vista stimulus money to create 40 jobs

Peak Vista Community Health Centers will receive $1.3 million from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

The money will aid 5,240 patients and create at least 40 jobs.

The money is being distributed by the Health and Human Services Administration and is part of $155 million in grants set aside for community health centers.

“These dollars will immediately help to create new, good-paying jobs and make health care more affordable and more accessible for people struggling in this economy,” said Colorado Sen. Michael Bennet.

Nationwide, the grants are expected to create 5,500 jobs at 126 health centers.
