State’s stimulus projects listed on new Web site

The State of Colorado has launched a Web site that list all the state’s road projects being paid for through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

The Web site, www.dot.state.co.us/arra/, includes project descriptions, amount of ARRA funds dedicated to the project, project status and photos.

The site will be updated biweekly.

Colorado will receive more than $400 million for transportation projects and $103 million for transit projects. As a requirement of ARRA, states must obligate up to 50 percent of their highway funding within 120 days. In Colorado, that means committing at least half of approximately $280 million to projects within 120 days. The remaining funds must be allocated to projects within one year.
