Emergency medicine billing and management services provider MedData is adding 25 jobs to its Colorado Springs office.
The additions come as a result of the cancellation of an outsourced call center in India. The company’s inbound calls will now be routed to Colorado Springs and Brecksville, Ohio, which will also see 25 jobs added.
CEO Doug Thompson said outsourced call centers are less expensive but that the decision to move the centers back to the United States was made to improve customer service.
“This environment of economic uncertainty and high unemployment made the decision to increase patient services personnel in Ohio and Colorado much easier. The service expertise and appreciation for the complexity of paying health care bills from our expanded call centers are already improving the patients’ experience for our clients”
MedData serves about 5 million callers in 30 states.
