Here’s what women really want

What do women really want? Money.

Women want freedom from financial stress more than they want to be thin, more than they want a faithful partner, more than sex and, in some cases, more than they love their children, according to a poll on bettyconfidential.com.

“With the current state of the economy, there’s a lot of anxiety about money, and it seems women would give up most anything to stop worrying,” said Myrna Blyth, editor-in-chief of the site. “I doubt there are many people who would tell you that they’d rather have their husband cheat than have to worry about their finances, but when given the anonymity of our polls, women reveal their true priorities, and it seems money is the big one.”

Desire for money beat freedom from dieting 83 percent to 17 percent and beat having your partner staying faithful 52 percent to 48 percent.

Women’s love for their children was the only thing that beat freedom from financial stress, but 40 percent chose money over their kids.

  1. I truly question what women were interviewed / polled by bettyconfidential.com ! This type of response should jolt our society to what our priorities have come to. It saddens me to think that women (or anyone) is more concerned about finances than they are about their personal relationships and beings.

  2. Mary Fox must have no financial worries to be so judgemental. I do not agree that freedom from financial stress is more important than relationships or people, but I have never had financial worries until now and I am more stressed, angry and emotional than I’ve been my whole life. It affects all of my relationships whether I want it to or not. Then there is the issue of how stress affects one’s health and overall well-being.
