I was very glad to see the mention of Venetucci in addition to Grant FArms – as Grant Farms is one of the largest organic producers west of the Mississippi and located up near Greeley – it is so important to plug our local folks too. A few more highlights:

THere is another CSA, run by a mom and her 4 young sons down in Fowler. Greenhorn Acres. They do a drop at Ranch Foods Direct.

The Peak to Plains Alliance focuses on many local growers and the retail outlets that support them.

Pikes Peak Urban Gardens and Care and Share Food Bank are working collaboratively to build community gardens in neighborhoods that typically do not experience healthy food – 7-11 is their corner grocer. We will be planting with the children from the Salvation Army this Friday at 1:30.
