“ACS’ decision to locate these jobs in Colorado Springs proves this is a great place to do business,” said Colorado Governor Bill Ritter in a statement. “This announcement is a testament to our efforts to create a business climate that fosters growth and expansion throughout Colorado, even in these tough times. We thank ACS for its decision to expand in Colorado and we will continue to support its growth in the state. ”
ACS is investing approximately $3 million and will operate a 400-seat, 34,000 square foot customer care center and the FORTUNE 500 company is seeking customer care agents, trainers, managers, and supervisors to respond to increased business. The facility is located at 2424 Garden of the Gods Road in the High Tech Corridor.
“Colorado Springs offers an exceptional pool of skilled and educated talent, enabling us to continue offering some of the best customer care work in the industry,” said Tom Blodgett, chief operating officer for ACS commercial operations. “Our ability to exceed our customers’ expectations and the desire of economic development officials to help make this happen very quickly helped bring this project to Colorado.”
ACS has been a leader in the customer care industry for more than 20 years. With more than 34,000 agents in 142 customer care centers around the world, ACS employees handle in excess of one million customer interactions every day in 20 different languages.
“Colorado Springs has a highly skilled workforce, some of whom are experiencing the downside of the current economy,” said Mike Kazmierski, president and chief executive officer of the Colorado Springs Regional Economic Development Corporation. “This is excellent news for a large number of our workforce and for our city.”
ACS currently employs 474 people in Colorado.
