Patients utilizing the EPCMS Physician’s Rx Care discount drug card save on all brand name and generic prescription medications at over 55,000 pharmacies in the U.S., Puerto Rico and Guam and over 60 in El Paso and Teller County. As of the end of 1st quarter 2009: over 42,000 prescriptions filled; $517,950 total savings over U&C of $1,636,824; in the 1st quarter of 2009 the average savings for individuals using the EPCMS card was 37%; over 50,000 cards have been requested and distributed. This card functions along with the Prescription Assistance Solution Service (PASS) program that has put over five million dollars in free prescriptions into the hands of El Paso and Teller county residents.
