Everybody has an iPhone application – and now that includes the American Heart Association.
iPhone applications cover everything from surfing the Web to tracking your errands. Now, users can look up CPR and other first-aid information.
Users can download the application to review first aid procedures, any time, anywhere. First aid instructions are available even when out of cell phone range.
Powered by Jive Media, the application is available for download at the Apples iTunes store. It costs $3.99 and the application features hundreds of pages of illustrations – CPR, choking, bites, bruises, burns, seizures and diabetic emergencies. There also are 20 videos to show how to respond in critical first-aid situations.
The application also includes a medical profile feature, which allows users to store their family’s medical information. The application can save doctor contact information, emergency contacts, allergies, medications and insurance information.
