J.D. Power ranks Springs Utilities 3rd for customer satisfaction

Colorado Springs Utilities has been ranked third in west in J.D. Power and Associates’ Electric Utility Residential Customer Satisfaction Study.

CSU competed for the ranking in the midsize utility segment, organizations that serve between 125,000 and 499,999 customers.

The municipal utility also received the 10th highest score in the nation, regardless of utility size.

Results were based on responses from more than 79,500 online interviews conducted from July 2008 through May 2009 with residential customers of the 121 largest electric utilities across the United States, which collectively represent more than 92 million households.

The study measures customer satisfaction with electric utility companies by examining six factors, power quality and reliability, price, billing and payment, corporate citizenship, communications and customer service.

    Finally! Now I can understand all those J.D. Powers surveys that rated American Cars as great.

    I assume that the survey was taken before everybody saw their May and June Water bills.
