Overnight closures for I-25 at Baptist Road

Interstate 25 will be closed for two nights this week for girder installation as part of the I-25/Baptist Road Interchange reconstruction project.

Beginning at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, one northbound land and one southbound lane will be closed for barrier removal and crane placement. At 10 p.m., I-25 will be closed to all traffic and vehicles will be detoured around the closure via the on/off ramps. The speed limit through the area will be reduced to 40 mph.

At 5 a.m., the interstate will be reopened to traffic.

Detours include:

• I-25 northbound off-ramp – right turns to eastbound Baptist Road permitted, westbound (left turn) movements over the bridge may be restricted at times.

• I-25 southbound off-ramp – right turns to westbound Baptist Road permitted, eastbound (left turn) movements over the bridge may be restricted at times
• Baptist Road westbound – no traffic allowed west of Jackson Creek Parkway. For access to I-25, all traffic detoured north to State Highway 105 in Monument or south to Gleneagle Drive
