November ballot order set
El Paso County Clerk and Recorder Bob Balink released the ballot numbering and order for local ballot questions for the November election this morning.
The list includes referred measure 2C, which asks Colorado Springs residents to approve an increase in the city property tax, and initiated ordinance 300, a Douglas Bruce-authored initiative, which would phase out the city’s collection of an annual payment in lieu of taxes from Colorado Springs Utilities.
The ballot numbering and order for ballot questions and issues is as follows:
- City of Fountain - tax increase – 2A (seeks to increase sales tax three quarters of one percent to fund a number of transportation projects)
- City of Fountain ¬ home rule Charter question - 2B
- City of Colorado Springs -referred measure - 2C
- City of Colorado Springs – initiated ordinance – 300
- City of Manitou Springs – Question No. 1 – 2D (seeks to dissolve charter mandate that one-sixth of city sales tax be earmarked for capital improvements)
