Wheel of Fortune to visit Cripple Creek, seeking contestants

Producers of the game show Wheel of Fortune will be in Cripple Creek this weekend looking for show contestants.

Wheelmobile, the show’s promotional vehicle, seeks players who are energetic, enthusiastic and fun.

Applicants’ names will be drawn at random to play a simulated version of the game onstage, win unique prizes and be evaluated as a potential contestant for the broadcast version of the show.

The Wheelmobile will stop at Cripple Creek’s Double Eagle Hotel & Casino, 442 E. Bennett, from 1 to 5 p.m.  Oct. 3-4.

Wheelmobile officials say:

• The majority of contestants who appear on Wheel of Fortune come out to Wheelmobile events in their hometowns
• Since its inception in 1999, the Wheelmobile has logged more than 200,000 miles and has visited more than 150 cities
• More than 600,000 Wheel of Fortune fans have attended Wheelmobile events
