Former Springs employees credit union, Aventa, acquires Pueblo employees credit union

Aventa Credit Union and Pueblo City Employees Federal Credit Union are merging.

PCE will retain its identity and staff, and two current PCE board members will join a combined Aventa board.

Many of Aventa’s members are firefighters, police officers, city administration staff and utility and water department workers. Originally, Aventa was chartered as Colorado Springs Employees Credit Union during 1957.

PCE members voted last week in favor of the deal. The combined credit union will have more than

18, 000 members and assets of nearly $150 million.

Operations will combine March 1.

Aventa has three branches in Colorado Springs.
