USAA opens doors to all veterans
After 87 years, USAA has opened its membership to all veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces who served honorably - regardless of their length of service.
USAA started as an officer-only association during 1922, opening to enlisted personnel during 1996.
The financial services provider has 7.3 million members and credits steady growth and operational capacity for its decision to open membership to all veterans and their spouses and children.
This expands USAA’s potential customer base by 35 million.
